Vacation

Last summer that this all happened. Though what seemed like a eon I still remember it clear as pure as the untouched reaches of space. My friends and I, Jim, Brice, Maggie and all of our families had gone to Rainbow Falls for a day during our stay in Yosemite. As the beaten road opened out into a parking lot. We briskly hiked down the path and our eyes met a magnificent pool with a gushing waterfall a top a cliff. Even though it seemed like a peaceful haven I had no idea for the event that awaited me at the top of the cliff. We went around the back of the cliff which led to the invisible path to the top of it. All we had for support was our desperation to to hold on to the jagged rocks proceeding. One foot after another we slowly climbed. With a relief of finely reaching the top I gazed over  the other side of the cliff and scrutinized the water below. Being the most gullible I offered to jump first. We were at least thirty-five feet up. The the scorched rock burned my feet and he only relief I would every feel was the icy cold death only meters below. Without thinking I launched myself through the air. It felt exhilarating. I felt kind of like I was in Xeo's shoes dying, however I felt a sort of happiness but before this came into effect I was submerged under the icy darkness... dying.

Cold

I was sloshing to the subway drenched from the dunk tank at my eighth  grade carnival. It seemed like it would never end, for one the subway was another five blocks and to make matters worse I was in San Francisco at the time and naturally it was the same annoying 50 degrees freezing temperature like always. Besides me complaining I actually enjoyed it a lot. What was the point in life if you couldn't live a little. The soaking cloths I had on at the time were soaking so as far as that was concerned that was a big fat FAIL. X_X I flashed my bus pass to the train driver and sat down on the not so comfortable sets. My friend Victor was there and was just as wet as I was. Lucky for him he had another pair of pants. He got off at Height andStanyon to go to McDonald's. I still had to go for a another half an hour including and icy cable car ride. Before arriving at my still freezing apartment. 

Charlotte's Nostrils Flared.

The earth was crumbling beneath every ones feet like the crumbs of a cookie. Joe had just ordered the attack on Gotham City with his army of super sheep all that was left of Batman was blood, guts and gore embedded into the hooves of the evil beasts. All the people were wondering who would save the people now. Batman was being a jerk dead on the ground and all the evil villeins were well ... still evil. Then in the blink of an eye it happened. Syrup rose up from the ground and many of Joe's sheep fell down the sheer cliff that just so happened to be there at the time, so don't ask questions. It was Johny Pancake and Tony Waffle putting aside there differences and coming together as the new protectors of the city. Joe was now very angry. He ordered his generals Anthony, Charlotte, Lauren and many other W.O.W. lovers to attack. Charlotte charged first with her flaming axe of doom! But our young breakfast choices were not scared. Together they formed into there super special awesome form. The dreaded waffle cake canon of doom! They drowned all the evil doers back to once they came with the golden syrup. All was sweet and sticky. 

 

Italiano Ziti

We are growing an herd garden to better understand the value of local living economies and also so that we can all try to go more green and we are cooking with them to prove that with small steps we can make the world a better and more sustainable place.

Ziti Recipe 

Must have a dish that is bigger than or fits the requirements of (height 2 inches and 14 x 14 inches!!! 

1 tablespoon Olive Oil 

1/2 to 1 Onion

6 Garlic Cloves

1 Jar Marinara Sauce

1 Jar Alfredo Sauce

1 (28-ounces) Can Crushed tomatoes

1 cup Mozzarella Cheese

16 ounces Cottage Cheese

Grated Parmesan Cheese

Salt and Pepper

12 ounces 33/4 Ziti Noddles(Any type of noddle will do)

Lets Begin!!! =)

Step 1: Preheat a pan to a medium-low heat and poor olive oil

Step 2: Take 1 onion peal and cut in half. Cut it in even slices. If you wish to have more onion then continue with slicing the other half. As soon as the pan is ready put in onions. Stir regularly

Step 3: Take garlic cloves and smash (large knifes work great) then peal. Proceed to mincing.

Once this is done poor in with the onions and continue cooking until onions are clear and brown.

Making the Sauce!!!

Step 4: Poor all of the Marinara, Alfredo, tomato sauce cottage cheese and mozzarella cheese into a large pot on medium heat, Stir regularly for 5-10 minutes.

Step 5: Fill a pot with water and once boiling put in noodles. WARNING!!! ONLY COOK FOR 10 MINUTES then strain. 

Step 6: Mix noodles into sauce and mix for a minute. 

Step 7: Then poor into a oven durable dish and insert WITH A LID into a preheated oven   of 475 degree's for 30 minutes. 

Step 8: Remove lid from dish after the 30 minutes and continue for another 30 minutes.

Step 9: Pull out of oven and set to cool.

Step 10: Enjoy!!!

Reflection: It tasted absolutely mouth watering all the cheeses blended together nicely. When you take the noodles out early is softens and cooks into its more flavorful state in the sauce. One thing that I would have done differently is that when you but the oven on preheat make sure that there are no pans in the oven to burn yourself on!!! 

The process of growing and cooking with herbs has changed my thinking because by showing all

the simple steps to make a great recipe for something I made myself makes me want to spread the word on how simple it is to live more sustainably.

This I believe essay

This essay I could not exactly Identify myself but come to a mutual understanding with. Every day I hear of

the horers that happen every day on that side of the world and I can not help but to be thankful that me and

all my friends and family don't have do deal with the hardships that some many have become apart of. I

choose the topic of war because I am not just looking at something that just happened to one person but

looking at a sad but true event or in this case a series of events.

Sustainability

What struck me when I went to the farmers market I was actually disapointed that several items were not even from close by.

Some tomatos were grown in Mexico,and some corn was grown in the Salines Vally, and that is not what I had in mind

of localy grown. Over all I was disipointed with the overall distance or quality of the food. So I went back home and with

the help of me and my mom made our garden. Currently we have five tomatos, several rows of lettece, carrots, spinige,

two eggplants, around ten herbs, snow peas and lots of flowers. Mom has always been obsesin about growing a garden and

as a family that goal is achiveable.

Why do you choose to shop hear rather than large industries.

Because you can do it for the good of others and and yourself, and rely less on gasoline and this way you know it

is more organic.

Yes I garden at home.

How did you find out about this place.

She came to her own conclusion because she wanted food from a more reliable sorce.

What would your advice be to others.

Be indipendint follow what you belive in and don't let anyone tell you different.

Ecological Intelligence

Ecological intelligence is basically better ways of living and using up less resources recycling etc. How ever this is harder than it looks like. Even though we create these so called Eco-efficient products it takes up more energy and polluting more just to make them. So we are basically back where we started screwing up the planet. For example to make a so called "hybrid car" We waste make more carbon dioxide making the car than the driver will ever save in his/her life time. That car would have to be around for several generations before you would be making up for the carbon you made it with. But its not as simple as just keeping the car for a long time. You would have to keep the engine clean and if your car was still working great then you would have to resist the temptation to not by another car claiming it iso much better than the car your driving which they call wasting and a car of the past. Making you feel like an uncool person who can't keep up with the times. 

This article connects to our questions because how we can and convince others to live more sustainability. But how can we when what is supposed to be energy efficient is actually waiting more than before. 

My ecological indigence is in my opinion very high because before I go and by something I think of whether or not it is what it claims. This also connects that sixth sense thing because we can't always have a computer at out sides to help us with our choices in life. That is also an interesting subject because I wonder how much energy it took to make that contraption and if it goes into mass production will they even attempt to lower the carbon they release during production and with the consumer.

One thing that surprised me about the movie was how they were still getting the right amount of nutrients and vitamins from there when the only things that they were eating besides vegetables was honey, milk, and eggs. But even with this is it still enough to survive healthily.

I would think that they have pretty much abandoned the wants list because they have completely revolved there life around there house which is from the way I see it is all they every wanted

They most likely have one of the smallest foot prints in America because they are not buying anything besides cloths and small higine products so they are not wasting any thing and if they do end up not using what they grow then they sell it to the restaurant and share the wealth.

My thoughts on this family is that this is as close to a local living economy as you can get. If everyone in the world lived like this then that would reduce our intoxication of the earth by A LOT!!!!!!!!!!! How ever I would think that it would be better if we could not be vegetarians.

Ishmael questions

I think what Ishmael is talking about hear is humans and there very narrow way of thinking through life even though we may think that we are the most intelligent creatures in the universe.
We have created a sort of system of life where if other species cant follow then they are considered inferior to use and we see them as just another obstacle in the way of use completely taking over the world completely. Not that we already have but we like to think that everything belongs to us.

a) What this ‘Erratic Retaliations` is basically saying is that these people are excepting the fact that other people have an opinion and they go through the two ideas and find out the best solution with out conflict.

b) Because there is no violence in this method and we humans are EXTREMELY violent . Take for example the Iraq war. We are in endless fighting and almost no one knows how it even started.

c) The Cawks should not fight because then they would be in our position and know one wants that. Not even use.

Ishmael Post

The two main rules that Ishmael uses to identify people in our culture are The fact that we put our food under lock and key making us pay for our own food, unlike all other species who have managed to survive simply by hunting gathering. The second is the thought that humans are a cursed race and that no matter what we do there is nothing that we can do about it and we will eventually fail and die out. I agree with the gorilla on this fact because there has to be at least one-hundred different possibilities of ways that we are going to be killed by.

I disagree with mother nature from the point that we have always been flawed and there is nothing we can do about it. Just look at the evidence. for centuries whole civilizations have come and gone for endless reasons. Economy, war food, droughts, global warming, etc. Its would seen as if the world is conspiring against us.

The takers in my opinion are the people who are the people who believe that they control everything and the world is revolving around them. So they pretend that they own everything so they make people pay for what should already be Therese. The leavers are the people who just go with it and take what ever comes there way, leaving it all up to the takers or there god or what ever they believe in
