Book #7 Chapter #30 "The opposite of fear ,is love." This struck me most deeply because of how for all of Dienekes life he has devoted himself to the study of fear and for this revelation to finally reveal itself. It all makes sense because when you fight for something you love like for the Civil War the north and south battled for there love of America. This love might have not been as strong as the Spartans for Sparta but there was love that consumed the soldiers and gave themselves the courage to win. This makes me feel like there is always going to be something worth fighting for in life even if it is not clear it is there and that is something that people need to realize. It is true because most suicidal people have just not found what is wort fighting for even if it right in front of them.

Book #7 Chapter #34 "Now eat a good breakfast, men. For we'll all be sharing dinner in hell."

I find this extremely striking because of how willing Leonidas is about dieing and from the passage knows that he and his men have done sins of all kinds and they are going to hell when they have left the world of the living. They knew that it would end like this from the very beginning and from the way the author writes it they have no difference in how they feel about the outcome. This quote connects to me because more than likely I am going to die and go to hell (If there is a hell) for all the bad stuff I have done and will more than likely do in the future. 

Book #8"What would they give the noblest amongst them to stand here with use now."

Again the Spartans have acknowledged the fact that there time is at an end how ever they are joking about there situation laughing at the fact that if  the Persians were to want someone to come over to the Spartans they would pay them an extremely large sum for everyone knew that there was not a hope on earth for the Spartans to survive this suicide mission. In a way this helps me understand the book more because of how forceful it is basically telling me that the story is only telling of how they fought greatly and it is all over end of story.

Book #8 "If she saves herself it will not be at the hot gates but later in battles left to come." 

There is no avoiding the fact that the 300 will lose but there is hope that there will be victory in the battles yet to come all because of the 300 Spartans gave Greece time to evacuate the cities and rally an army that could different the Persians and drive them back to Asia. I would have to agree with the author because just look at the field less than 300 men against the Persians that speaks for its self

The Secret life of bee's Challenge

There were many differences between the book and the movie, but some things stood out to me more than others for the most part because of how the directer thought he could get away with some things that would be less obvious for those who had not read the book. For example the reason for T. Ray finding Lily in the book was how she made a collect phone call to his house and when he got the phone bill it told where the phone had come from. However in the movie T. Ray used a hole in the wall then aliened it with the map that was previously there which ended up to be the location of Lily and the Boatright sisters in Tiberon. Also when Lily goes into town with Rosaleen the book said that that she is going only for the fact that it is her birthday and wants to be away from T. Ray and for Rosaleen is registering to vote. However in the movie she goes for a training bra. A third difference is how when it is Lily's birthday comes and T. Ray enters the kitchen just before he leaves he said ''Happy Birthday Lily''. This means that they did not like the books idea for how he absolutely abominated her and actually show some compassion for once in the movie because the only reason he came for her in the first place was because he did not want to lose the only thing that was left of Debera. In the end the book was a lot better because the could could go into much more depth and truly bring out the character with out having a time limit so that you don't bore the people in the theatre.

The Presidential Election

The Presidential Election is a very competitive race. Something that had struck me was the fact that even amongst the final debate people, they too were side tracked by the mention of  Joe the plumber. Even though Joe was good to us as an example for attacking the canidites he was over used. In fact he was such a big topic that they went to unnecessary lengths to find out who this man is.

Well this man apparently does exist and had indeed been in discussion with Barack Obama  about the new tax plan and how it would work and effect him. Joe was apparently going to buy the plumbing business that he was working for but Barack Obama plan for spreading the wealth around for every one was going to cause Joe years of tax payments before he could actually buy the company. 

This man's name actually Samuel J. Wurzelbacher but he goes by his middle name Joe. He was mentioned twenty-six times during the torrid debate. He has not released to anyone who he is going to be voting for in the up coming election. He lives in Holland  Ohio were senator Barack Obama was doing part of his campaign. Many people are convinced that he is a republican based on the fact that he questioned Obama tax plan.

My mom, Sandra Wren, is my hero. She is a single mom raising a pair of twin teenagers and is doing a pretty great job giving me the care I need. She is always looking out for me and doing what she knows is best for me.

A photo I like

What I like about Steve Jobs is that he reminds me that we live in an almost limitless world. We can do almost anything with technology. For example the I phone and I touch dont have bottens Its all using the touch screen. In the photo of him I think of his optomistic mind and abilaty to create. Also I think of thing like wealthyness.

My predictions of the book where correct on the fact that Lily would come around and tell August about how she was a run away and she would live a happy life with the calender sisters.The prediction that I was not counting on was the fact that T. Ray would come and find Lily and try to bring her back to the peach farm. Another thing I was not expecting was Debera never wanting to be pregnant with Lily in the first place.

The weekend I found a stick on the radio

Water dripping from the ends of the roof like honey dripping from a hive, I was zoned out playing Pokemon emerald on my Nintendo D.S. It finally occurred to me that I was a mindless zombie wasting my life away like a kid and his Halloween candy. I blindly stumbled into the kitchen. The clock on the stove said 9:47 pm. I opened the fridge and was greeted by an explosion of suffusing light. Readjusting my eyes I grabbed the orange juice. After shaking it like a helplessness creature in a monsters jaws I pored it into a glass. I returned to my disaster area room and plopped onto my bed. Sipping my orange drink quietly I observed my room. Then I looked at the radio an on top of it was a bizarre stick with legs walking around as if it Had a abominating plan to kill me, Holy $%#$! was the only words that went through my head at that moment. Realizing I could use this to my advantage I picked it up with a peace of paper and Walt's ed over to my sister Nina who happened to be returning to her room from the kitchen and stuck that stick bug right in her face. let me be blunt she screamed like there was no tomorrow made me deaf my mom got angery and it was put in the

garden with all the other creepy crawlys.
